“In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.” – Gandhi

Yesterday I taught my after school yoga class how to meditate. But actually, I didn’t teach much. I just gave them the space to sit with their eyes closed and focus on their breath.

They loved it.

I’m excited to include more mindful moments in all of our classes.

The breath is a powerful tool. It is a mirror to our mind. When our breath is shallow and constricted – our mind is full with thoughts dancing everywhere. When we can mindfully slow down the breath, our mind begins to calm and we can access space and ease.

Practice getting quiet and focus on your breath. By simply becoming aware of the breath it naturally begins to lengthen, and the thoughts begin to settle  – if only for a moment.

If you are wanting more of this mindful meditation goodness – I made a mini meditation bundle that includes 5 meditations. You can purchase the bundle for $5.00 here, and also try out 3 free mini meditations to try it for a spin.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions! I’d love to hear from you.
